Privacy Policy

StudentFeedbackOS helps teachers write feedback for their students. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and sign-in information.
• Student details teachers add: student names, notes, class transcripts, rough notes and the feedback created from them.
• Voice recordings: audio you upload or link is sent for transcription to produce text. We do not keep the audio file after transcription.
• Payment details: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of purchase, not your full card number.

How we use it

• To run the service: generate, store and share feedback that a teacher has approved.
• To show progress charts and reports to the teacher and, once approved, to the student.
• To manage your account, free drafts and purchases.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

AI processing

Transcripts, notes and audio are sent to third-party AI providers to create transcriptions and feedback drafts. Nothing generated by AI reaches a student until the teacher reviews and approves it.

Who can see what

• Teachers see the students and feedback they created.
• Students see only feedback their teacher has published to them.
• Report share links can be viewed by anyone who has the link; only share them with people you trust.

Service providers

We rely on providers for hosting and storage, AI processing and payments (Stripe). They handle information only to provide those services to us.

Students and children

Student accounts are created by invitation from a teacher. Teachers and schools are responsible for obtaining any consent needed from students or their parents or guardians before adding student information.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep information while your account is active. Teachers can delete students and feedback at any time. To delete your account and its data, contact us using the details below.

Your choices

You can view and correct your information in Settings, and ask us for a copy or deletion of your data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
